Under Construction - Camp Menzies

National Association of Women in Construction Sacramento Chapter # 63 has teamed up with the Girl Scouts Heart of Central California, Tomboy Tools, and other companies within the construction industry. Together we help provide an innovative program where girls work alongside positive female role models in the construction industry and learn construction terms and skills. They find confidence in themselves and learn what it means to work as a team. Girls Ages 13–18 and members of the Sacramento Chapter of NAWIC swing hammers, pound nails and learn how to use power tools to build a new cabins at Camp Menzies. During off time the girls enjoy camp activities of swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, archery or nature study and travel to local sites.
