Ways to Donate to Girl Scouts Heart of Central California

Give a gift to Girl Scouts Heart of Central California (GSHCC) and help us continue our mission of building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. GSHCC serves 30,000 girls throughout 18 counties with support from donors like you!

Outreach

More than 8,000 girls in our service area come from low-income and ethnically diverse communities. These girls are served by our Outreach Program, which brings Girl Scouts to underserved girls in schools, migrant camps, teen mom centers, and juvenile halls. The Outreach Program is free for the girls and families who participate. GSHCC covers all the expenses incurred and never denies any girl membership, relying on donations and grants to support this powerful youth development program.

Workplace Giving

When the annual staff giving campaigns comes to your work place, don’t forget to designate Girl Scouts Heart of Central California to receive your donation. The gift can be made through cash, check, credit card, or payroll deductions. Additionally, many employers have matching gift programs where they will match any contribution made by their employees.  Some also have matching gift programs based on volunteer hours worked.

Family Partnerships

The GSHCC Family Partnership Campaign is an annual opportunity for families and volunteers to help fulfill our vision of serving every girl everywhere. At GSHCC we make a point to never turn a girl away from the benefits of Girl Scouting due to the inability to pay for registration or program events – Family Partnerships help make that possible. All Family Partnership donations (100%) go directly to girls in our council, keeping programs and services affordable for families across our 18 county service area.

Camp Opportunities

At GSHCC we love camp as much as the girls and want to make sure that every interested girl has the ideal camp experience. Unfortunately, there are many girls whose families cannot afford camp; therefore, these girls have to miss out on this fun and special experience. Give to the campership fund to make a donation toward sending a girl to camp. You can also donate towards our special Under Construction Program, held every year at Camp Menzies-our own resident camp located in the Sierra Nevada foothills.

Planned Giving

A planned gift is an opportunity to extend your values into future generations and ensures that Girl Scout programs are available to all girls for years to come. There are many options of planned gifts – you can give cash, securities, retirement accounts, or life insurance policies. You can also make a planned gift and still receive all generated income during your lifetime.
